 ADVISE & CONSULT FUND
(a donor advised fund)

Have you ever:

Wanted to maximize your giving while saving additional tax dollars?

Needed a tax deduction but didn’t want the ministry to receive the funds until later, or didn’t know which ministries you wanted to benefit?

Wanted to make an anonymous gift?

Wanted to simplify your giving by making one gift of stock, or other appreciated property, that could be distributed to multiple ministries?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these, then the PCA Foundation’s Advise & Consult Fund may be just the tool that you are looking for to make the most of your lifetime giving.

The Advise & Consult Fund allows you to make gifts of appreciated assets or cash to the Foundation.  The net proceeds from your gift go into an account established in your name.  You can then recommend over time which Christian ministries (these may be either PCA or other Christian ministries) should receive distributions from your account.

Your recommended gifts to these various ministries may be made in your name or anonymously.  Anonymous giving is easy using an Advise & Consult Fund.  You can simply request that the Foundation send any or all of your gifts anonymously, and the checks are sent out without identifying either you or your fund as the donor.

The Foundation accepts gifts of cash, stocks, or other property.  The minimum amount required to open an Advise & Consult Fund is $1,000.  Gifts to the Advise & Consult Fund are irrevocable.  Your gift may receive a current income tax charitable deduction based on the fair market value of the property gifted because the PCA Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization.  You receive current tax benefits, but are under no pressure to decide immediately who the ultimate beneficiaries of your gift should be.  This way, you may still receive tax benefits when giving anonymously as well.

By making a gift of appreciated assets, capital gains taxes may also be eliminated.  The value of the gift is maximized because you are now able to give to ministries funds that would have been paid in taxes.  Giving is simplified because you can make one transfer of assets and benefit multiple Christian organizations.

This all adds up to sound stewardship of God’s property.
