PCA Foundation: How to Make a Gift

If you would like to make a gift, please carefully review the information below for instructions. Please note: you must contact us prior to making an electronic transfer of any gift.

If you do not already have an account at the PCA Foundation, please contact us so that we may discuss what account option is best for you.

Stock-Certificates

Please notify the PCA Foundation prior to making any gift of stock.

If the stock is in certificate form, do not sign or fill in any information on the back of the certificate. Follow the instructions below:

Download this Stock Power (this form is in .pdf format - click here to download Acrobat Reader if you don't already have it installed so that you can download the form.) Please note that the Stock Power must be Medallion Signature Guaranteed (your local bank officer can do this). Sign the Stock Power exactly as the name(s) appear(s) on the stock certificate(s). Do not fill in any of the information about yourself or the certificate on the Stock Power. See sample stock power for illustration.

There is only one Stock Power needed for each issue -- not each certificate -- as long as the names the stock certificates are registered in are identical.

Remember not to endorse or fill out the back of your stock certificate. Send it to us along with your Stock Power and with a letter stating it is a gift to the PCA Foundation and the purpose of the gift.

NOTE: THE STOCK POWER MUST BE SIGNED EXACTLY AS YOUR NAME APPEARS ON YOUR STOCK CERTIFICATE.

Send the signed, dated and Medallion Signature Guaranteed Stock Power(s) and Certificate(s) to the PCA Foundation via FedEx, UPS, Airborne Express, etc. (for security and so it can be tracked) to:

Stock - Broker to Broker Electronic Transfers (DTC)

Please notify the PCA Foundation prior to making any transfer of stock.

Please notify the Foundation of:

the name of the securities to be transferred and

the number of shares and

the name of and contact information for the firm initiating the transfer.

THE NEXT STEP is for the broker to contact Mark Bailey at the PCA Foundation at 800-700-3221 to obtain the delivery instructions. If you prefer, we can provide the delivery instructions to you for you to communicate directly with your broker.

Mutual Funds

The PCA Foundation will gladly accept gifts of mutual funds. The Foundation has gift clearing accounts open at a number of different brokerage and mutual fund firms. If we do not have an account open at the firm where your mutual funds are held, we are happy to open one in order to be able to accept your gift. If you wish to gift mutual funds, please contact the PCA Foundation for further information and instructions.

Cash - Wire

Please call 800-700-3221 and ask for Mark Bailey or Randy Stair if you would like to initiate a wire transfer to your account at the PCA Foundation.

Wiring instructions will be provided to you upon request.

Cash – Check

Please make checks payable to "Presbyterian Church in America Foundation, Inc." and indicate on the memo line which account your gift should go into.

Checks should be mailed directly to the PCA Foundation, Inc.

Land or Real Estate

The PCA Foundation is able to receive gifts of real estate. There are a number of conditions which must be satisfied in order for gifts of this nature to be completed. Please contact the Foundation for a copy of the “Policy for Receiving Gifts of Real Estate” or with questions regarding information on these conditions and requirements. Please contact Randy Stair or Mark Bailey at the PCA Foundation if you are contemplating making such a gift.
